What can you do with a coffee you’ve never tasted? You step onto the competition stage and receive an unknown coffee. There’s time to explore it, test a recipe and decide how to bring out its best. Then the ten-minute countdown begins, with just one competition cup to serve at the end. No presentation to the judges – your coffee does the talking. WTF!? – What the Filter!? starts with head-to-head battles. Everyone works with the same competition coffee, and the judges taste blind. Winners advance to three-way semifinals, where they must put what they learnt in the first round to work. A new challenge awaits the three finalists: a Geisha and another chance to find a winning recipe. More than a result After judging, you’ll taste the competing coffees and hear feedback from the judges. Discover what worked in your cup and what you could try differently next time. Whether you advance or not, you’ll leave with valuable experience. From the café or your kitchen to the stage WTF!? welcomes professional baristas and home brewers alike. All essential equipment is provided, so you don’t need your own kit to take part. Everyone uses the supplied Comandante grinder, though you’re welcome to bring your own permitted brewer and accessories. What matters is how you work with the coffee in front of you. Not competing?
